Give Locally

This is the list from the @valleyartsnewsletter instagram post about giving locally. Posted here to make it easier to follow links to learn more about them and donate. Give what you can to help these local organizations.

from the 6/17 post: hi friends, i was inspired to make this list by Jason's video at @attackbearpress (and because i love to make lists). His point is that giving to national organizations is good but there are so many local nonprofit organizations that assist BIPOC that need your support. Our neighbors, our community right here needs support. Give local and buy local whenever you can. Donate to them, follow their pages, boost their reach.

this list includes nonprofit orgs in the valley that deal with racism, social justice, immigrant protection, food insecurity, education, and more - many issues that disproportionally affect BIPOC communities. Also some art/culture orgs that support BIPOC artists and communities. Note that some orgs are not active on instagram but more active on facebook or their websites.

many of these were found via google search - there are more out there - feel free to email me to add to this list.
